MLB Trade Deadline 2026: Blue Jays Rumours, Targets, and Bold Predications

After reaching the World Series, the expectations for the Toronto Blue Jays have never been higher. With the MLB trade deadline fast approaching, one question's on every fan's mind. Is this the year the Blue Jays push all the chips in? Or are they planning for the future? Welcome to True Fan True Opinions. I'm Sue. Around here, being a true fan doesn't mean blindly agreeing with everything your team does. It means caring enough to tell the truth. So let's talk sports, like fans do. Welcome back everybody. With the MLB trade deadline just around the corner, let's talk some rumors, shall we? Before we get into the Toronto Blue Jays and what they're gonna be doing, let's start with some MLB teams and the big names that are out there. Alright, so let's start with the teams that I believe are buying, and why are they buying? Well, we got the Los Angeles Dodgers. Is anybody surprised? I'm not. They're always in it. They have the best record in the league. And why wouldn't they buy? They have the money. They are champions of the last two years, and players want to win. So why wouldn't they want to be traded to this team? Alanna Braves are one of the other teams. They're chasing a division title in the NL East. And I think they're looking for a veteran starter. They need some help with their starting rotation. And we got Milwaukee Brewers. I think they're going to be buying. They're sitting nicely at the top of the NL Central. I think they would like some upgrades to their bullpen. I mean, every team does, but I think that will solidify them being a competitive team, a for real team. And I don't think a lot of people give them credit, so I can see them buying. And another team that I think should be buying, not sure if they are, but I think they should, and this might surprise a lot of people, is the Miami Marlins. I mean, they're fighting for a wild card spot. So reward your players if you're the organization, if you're the front office. Reward these guys. They're playing with their heart out. I think they're going to be heavily shopping for an upgrade at their third base. I think that's their biggest need. Um, so there's names out there for third base. They're a really fun team to watch. And maybe this is a little bit of my Canean pride, because they have a few Kenaian players on this team. I enjoy watching them. So I would like to see them as buyers. Are they going to be? I don't know, but I think they should be. And a few other teams out there that I believe are going to be buyers are the Chicago Cubs. I think they're just missing a couple pieces to help them get over that edge and to get into the playoffs and have a good run. I'm going to throw out Philadelphia Phillies as well. Another team that's fun to watch. And I think their front office should reward those players as well. And of course, there's the New York Yankees. I mean, they're always in it. I think there's immense pressure on them to win, not just their division, but to have a push in the playoffs. And yes, I'm going to say the Toronto Blue Jays, which we're going to discuss later. So those are the teams that are out there, that are rumored out there that are going to be the biggest buyers, the biggest contenders. I'm going to throw you one more team that I believe should be the biggest contender. It is the Tampa Bay Rays. Talking about an exciting team, a team that's doing so well. And they have money to spend. And unlike previous years, because they've never gone out and got people, right? They don't sign people. Their front office did confirm this year that they will be aggressive buyers. And as they should be. Okay. So let's talk about the sellers and their focus areas, why they are selling. No surprise here, I don't think. The New York Mets, right? Terrible year. No expect they're not achieving any of their expectations from any of their players. I mean, maybe Juan Soto not having a bad year at all, but everybody else, terrible year. And the front office basically said they're going to trade everyone except for Juan Soto. So you got your homes, right? Lindore, Minter. Oh my God, even Bo Bichette. So they're going to be selling everybody. Another team that shouldn't surprise is the San Francisco Giants. I don't know what's going on over there, but they're looking to shed away their massive salaries that they have. So you got Devers, Chapman, Lee Lee will be great on a team. Robbie Ray, and of course, Luis Arreyas. So they're looking at dumping salary. KC Royals, Kansas City. They're having a disappointing year. And they're going to want to retool their roster, right? So they're going to be giving away some people, trying to rebuild their farm system. I mean, would they ever get rid of Bobby Witt Jr.? Probably not. But everybody else? Probably. Los Angeles Angels. They have a new front office, new administration. And they have said they're going to be trading for prospects. And if I was an Angels fan, you Angels fans out there should be mad. You should be upset. What a waste of having one of the best ball players, Mike Trout, amazing player, and never make the playoffs. Oh, I actually I think you made the playoffs once and you never won a game. And he's been in the league how many years now? And you had Otani at one time as well. So you have these two phenomenal players, and you never make the playoffs. So they're going to be sellers again this year. Surprise, surprise. And again, such a waste. If I was a fan, I would be so disappointed. And the other teams out there that I'm going to say that they're going to be sellers. You got your Colorado Rockies, uh, Detroit Tigers, maybe not everybody, and we're going to talk about their big guy later. I think Houston Astros are going to be sellers, not buyers. And they have some great pieces, some great players that other teams can pick up. And I'm not sure about the Boston Red Sox. I think just like Houston, they're going to be sellers. I think the fans want them to be buyers. Uh, but Boston has been really weird the last few years, and they've been getting rid of players when they shouldn't have. Should they be keeping this core? Maybe. But history the last few years says they're going to be sellers, so I'm going to put them in that category. So the two biggest sellers will be, and I don't think it's surprised. Anybody, New York Mets. They basically said they were open for business, and San Francisco Giants. And that's going to be a complete fire sell. Those are the rumors that are out there about the contenders of buyers and sellers, and let's see what happens in the next week. Okay, now it's time to talk about the big names that are out there. And I want to know if you guys are going to agree or disagree. These are the names I'm throwing out. And what I want to know is, are these rumors for real? Are they legit? Or are they just rumors? So I'm going to start talking about the pitchers because the biggest name that's out there is a pitcher. Right? You got Scuble from the Detroit Tigers. He's a lofty. He's a starting pitcher, two times Cy Young winner. So he's got to be the big name out there, right? Number one. So why would the Tigers get rid of him? Well, they're just sitting outside of the wild card. And I think if they don't get rid of him now, if they don't flip him now, they're gonna basically get nothing for him at the end of the year. He's a UFA and he's gonna go to a contender, right? Dodgers, Yankees, whoever. But they need to do something now to get any kind of good prospects, um, even ready players to play in the MLB now. Who are the favorites to get Scubol? Well, you're gonna put the Dodgers out there, maybe the Yankees, I don't know, Atlanta Braves, Chicago Cubs, and I think the Tampa Bay Rays should make a push for this guy. That might just take this team to the next level. And there's also Mason Miller, he's from San Diego Padres, a righty, reliever closer, mostly closer. He's having a fantastic year, great closer. And why would the Padres get rid of him? Trade him? Well, they're also sitting outside of the wildcard spot. And he is the most dominant bullpen arm in baseball. Plus, he carries multiple years of team control. So, in my opinion, it can get a crap load for him. And some high-end prospects. If you don't think you're gonna make a push for the wildcard spot and you don't think you're gonna make the playoffs, you need to move this guy to get great stuff in return. And then who's interested in Mason Miller? Well, I believe everybody is, everybody should be. Um, but the heavy favorite is probably the New York Yankees. They have late innings struggles, and we can mention other teams, um, but that's a big need for the Yankees, um, and I think he would just make that all go away. I think the Chicago Cubs should make an offer for him. That would help their late innings struggles as well. But the favorite here is probably the New York Yankees. And we also have Joe Ryan, Minnesota Twins. He's a righty, he's a starter. And why would the twins want to trade him? Well, Ryan offers multiple years for team control at a much lower cost than most rentals. So the twins are gonna listen. They're gonna listen to other teams and see what they can get for them. Who are the contenders? Who are they gonna be the buyers for him? The Dodgers. You can probably throw in the Yankees as well. I think the Tampa Bay Rays are very interested. I think even the Jays can use somebody like him. And the last pitcher I'm gonna talk about is a roll disc Chapman for the Boston Red Sox. He's a reliever, he's a closer, he's a lefty. So again, big need on a lot of teams here. Should Boston get rid of Chapman? I don't think so. I think they can make a push for the wild card spot. Um, I believe they can make the playoffs, but if you can get some good arms for Chapman, then why not? And who are interested in him? Well, many teams will be, but I think the Philadelphia Phillies are really pushing for him. They're linked about this rumor. They can you use a high-leverage left-hander, more as a reliever, but he'll fit in that very well in that team. I think the Chicago Cubs. And then a little drama here, guys. We all know about Chapman with leaving New York and saying he'll never play for them again and all the other stuff. Well, recently he threw out there that he's keeping the door wide open to potentially return to the Bronx. So my question is, will he go back? And maybe another team that could use him is the Atlanta Braves. So those are some of the big names for the pitchers. So now how about top positions? The biggest name should be Luis Areas from the San Francisco Giants, second base. He bats left. So why would the Giants trade him? Well, as I mentioned, they're a very terrible team this year. He's a free agent and he's flirting with his like third career batting title. He's just having an outstanding year. So people are gonna be interested. And if you're a team looking for a rental, well, he's the ultimate high contact rental. And he can put the ball in play, he's got power, plays a good second base. So why wouldn't teams be interested? The teams that are interested, who are rumored to want to trade for him. I think the front runner is the Tampa Bay Rays. He would look great at the top of their lineup. Wow, I wouldn't want to play this team. And of course, the New York Yankees, I'm gonna throw them out there. They're heavily linked. And probably it's Texas Rangers. They need some pop in their lineup. I can see him going to the Tampa Bay Rays, and I'm even gonna say Atlanta Brave's. I would like to see him in that lineup. Alright, so another big name is Jeremy Pena from the Houston Astros. Shortstop. That's right. The Houston Astros have basically nothing in their farm system. So there's a good reason why they might want to trade him. Trading Pena, who is a gold glove caliber shortstop with dynamic speed, would fetch premium prospects. It'll be great for the farm system. They'll be able to rebuild, right? And I think this is what this organization, this franchise, this team, this is what they need. They don't have a lot to move forward. They got a lot of older players on this team, and they need to look for their future. And who's the perfect match? Well, Tampa Bay Rays, the Dodgers, um, and probably the Yankees. I'll throw them out there. Again, maybe the Atlanta Braves. That would be a nice fit. And I'm gonna throw out one more name out there. Again, from San Francisco Giants, Willie Adamess. He's a shortstop. That's right. And again, like I mentioned, the Giants massive fire cell, right? So that's a reason why they want to get rid of another name, another player. He gives you power at a very important position, shortstop. So a lot of teams are gonna be looking at him. Now, the biggest team that he's linked to is the Tampa Bay Rays. Um, and just for reasons like Penny, they need a shortstop. Something I would love to see, and there was a rumor out there, and this would be so New York Mets, right? But I would love to see like a massive blockbuster deal for let's say um like Marcus Simeon going to the Giants, right? So can you see the Mets with Lindor and Adam S? I mean, that would be an exciting middle, but it's the New York Mets, and they're probably just gonna get rid of Lindor anyways, so that might not happen. But it's fun to imagine blockbuster deals and different trades. That's what makes trade deadline so much fun. The what, ifs, who can go? Why would this team do that? And that's why I'm always interested in all sports and trade deadlines. There's just so much fun, so much can happen. Or nothing happens, and then you're scratching your head like, what were you thinking? Anyhow, those are the names that I threw out there. I want to know, what do you think? Who's the biggest names on your target? Who did I leave out? Alright, it is time to talk about the Toronto Blue Jays, and we have a few things here to discuss, right? So, at the time of this recording, the Jays are just outside of the wild card spot. Okay? So keep that in mind. When I'm gonna say, despite a slow start, right, the first half did not meet the team my fans' expectations. I expect the J's to buy. The week AL playoff race gives them a wild card shot. Now, will they? I'm not sure. I wanna say yes. I want to say I believe in this team that they're gonna turn it around. So I'm now gonna discuss three of the top areas that I think they should focus on to buy. All right, so one of the areas is high-leverage bullpen arms. That is a need. And we know the issues, right, everybody? We know. Their core relievers are overworked, which has related on blowing critical leads later in the game, right? Now, Varlan and Rogers, they've been great, but they can't pitch every game. So there's a need there. The goal. Well, I think the goal is we need a dominant setup man or a secondary closer that they can rely on for the eighth, the ninth, when Varlan can't do it, when Rogers can't do it, and Hoffman is not the guy. Now, if we had Garcia, that would be the guy, but he's injured, and we know that, and not sure when he'll be back. So that's the goal, right? For that top targets? Well, I'm gonna keep a close eye on Erodis Chapman. Is Boston gonna get rid of him and where is he gonna go? I think Luke Weaver from the Mets, or even Minter from the Mets, that could help the bullpen, our bullpen, the Blue Jays bullpen. Okay, another area that if they're gonna buy, starting pitching. We love our guys. Don't get me wrong. Gosmith, Cease, Bieber, You Savage. I know the fan base loves these guys, the team loves these guys, and yeah, they've had injuries, but there's times they're not going late in the games. Sometimes they do, and that's hurting our bullpen. And I hate seeing a bullpen starter. I mean, everybody likes Spencer Miles, and I get that, but I want a fifth starter, and Laura didn't work out. So the goal here is we need a reliable, a veteran mid-rotation starter who can eat innings, right? And has a history of staying healthy. And I get it, guys, injuries happen, but I want somebody that can like a Gosman that just goes out there every fifth game. So the top targets that I think the Jays should go after. Well, I think Joe Ryan, he's having a great year, but I believe the twins are gonna ask a good package for him, a lot of prospects. And I'm not sure if we want to let people go from the farm system. We need to think about our future. There's rumors out there with Robbie Ray, not a high cost. I kind of like it. Reunite some here. He liked Toronto. I would like somebody like a Michael Waka. Um, but Casey, if they're gonna trade him, they're gonna want some elite players like MLB Ready Talent. Are we willing to let go of Varsho, Jimenez, Valenzuela? I I don't know. Clement. I don't want to see them go, but then you need to buy some more and get other position players. So probably Robbie Ray is probably the best fit here. And one more area that I think if the Jays are gonna buy that they need to focus on is hitting, right? Alright, so the issues here, we all know Vladdy, Springer, Kirk, Farshell, they're not hitting for power. I mean, except for Vladdy hitting for average, nobody's hitting average. If these four or five players were playing at their expectations, we would not be looking for power at this deadline. But here we are. And again, injuries. I get it, guys. Barger. So the goal is we need someone who can hit timely hits, hit with some power for home runs, and God, can deliver when runners are on base, right? One of my pet peeves. Base is loaded, nobody comes in. So who are the top targets out there? Well, there's rumor that Spencer Steer from the Cincinnati Reds. But what I don't like about this is he's a first baseman, third baseman, and outfield. Well, we have a first baseman and third base. We have plenty of outfielders, so I don't know if he's a great fit. Wilson Contreras would be a nice fit, but he's a catcher. DH. So what does that mean? I don't think we should move Kirk. Venezuela deserves to be on this team, and we have Laddie, but a DH. So there's Springer. And then Willie Adamas would be a really nice fit and more affordable. We move Hemones. Probably the best fit and the bigger name is Luis Areas. But again, you have to remove Hemones, and you're gonna get rid of some top prospects. So those are some of the top targets that I think the Jays should go after. Those are the top three needs. Do we have other needs? Of course. Can we improve our outfield? And we don't know what's going on with Barger. And I know, guys, I know. Springer, big fan favorite. He's one of my favorites. I get it. But the DH, there's a DH. Definitely need of improvement. We need somebody who can hit with power for average. A couple years ago, I thought it would have been Anthony Santander, but yet again, injuries, and here we are. Now that I've mentioned some of the Jays players, we should discuss who are the untouchables and the players we can or should move. So I'm going to give you my list here. So if you agree, great. Love to hear from you. And if you disagree, okay. Why? I want to know your reasons. All right, here we go. Untouchables. And for many different reasons. These are my untouchables. Pitchers. I'm going to start with the pitchers. Cease. He's our ace. Don't get rid of him. You Savage. He's the stud. He's the future of this organization. He's our starting pitcher of the future. Varlan. I think that would just be a dumb move if the Jays got rid of him. Why did the twins get rid of him last year? I don't know, but I'm glad he's with us. Flew Hardy. I wouldn't get rid of Mason Flewhardy. He's a workhorse. He loves it here. Spencer, he's gonna be our starter next year. So you don't move him. And I'm gonna throw out there Fisher. He's composed. He wants that ball anytime, every day. Hands those pressure very well. So overall, those guys are very reliable. They're good, they're solid players. So those are my untouchables for pitchers. Position players. Well, I'm gonna start with Vladdy. Uh, even though he's my favorite, everybody's gonna know that he's my favorite, but he's also the face of the franchise. Big, big time money contract. And you know what, guys? I know he's slumping. I know it might be even a really bad year for him overall, but he's not gonna be bad like this forever. He's a hitter, he's a great first baseman. I've always said that. He plays an excellent first base. I really do believe his the second part of the season is gonna be much better for him. And next year, he's untouchable. Clement. Now we can get stuff for Clement. He's a great utility guy. Short little story here. When we got him three years ago, and when I started seeing him play, I was telling everybody that the Jays, for them to be ever a contending team, a playoff team, a good team, they can never get rid of this guy. He can play all infield. He can even play outfield. He's a grit guy. He's a baseball player. He just wants to be out there. He has fun. He's hard on himself. He works hard. I wouldn't get rid of him. And look what he did for us last year. What he did in the playoffs. Can't get rid of him. Barger. Yeah, I know. Injury. Hopefully he's not injury prone and he's healthier next year. But this guy, his arm, his bat, he can play third base. He's an outfielder. He's a game changer in the lineup. So to me, he's untouchable. And Okamoto. I know we have him for a few years. That's great. But he's untouchable. I just love him. He's my favorite. He's getting much better defensively and home run leader, right? For our team. RBI guy. So yeah, you can't get rid of him. And I'm gonna throw out there Kirky, right? Captain Kirk. He's so important to our pitchers. He keeps everybody calm. He's quiet behind the plate. And he's a quiet leader. So yeah, I'll throw Kirk in there as well. Alright, so players that I would move for a good trade, even if the Jays are buyers or sellers. And I'm gonna hate saying this, and there's gonna be people not happy. Kevin Gosman. And this is if we were selling. I think for Gosman, we can get a lot for him that helped our bullpen death in the pitching area, and from deep organizations like the Dodgers, Baltimore, the Braves, Tampa Bay. Um, so yeah, he would be somebody I would move for the right deal. Varsho. Oh, Dalton Varsho. Even his defense is not as great as it was last year. Mind you, he's still a great defender, and I get that. Um can he still hit for power? Yeah. I know he's always been a streaky hitter, but the streaks are very few in between, and the highs are very small, and the lows are a lot longer than they should be. So I think we can get some top prospects for him. So yeah, I would move him. Okay, we have to mention Jeff Hoffman here, and yeah, everybody agrees with me, we should move him. And there's many reasons out there. All right, I'm not gonna get into it. I think he's been crapped on many, many times, and I'm not here to add on to that pile. So I don't know how I feel about Hoffman overall. I've been a defender of him, I've been telling people his stuff is really good, and when he's consistent, he's one of the best out there. I was excited when we got him a couple years back. But yeah, we can't forget what happened in the playoffs and what's been going on this year. I'm gonna remind everybody he's had a good stretch at times. Um, but don't put him in the eighth or ninth. I think he needs a new start, and the fan base here just don't trust him anymore. So I think if there's an organization out there that sees his potential, that sees his stuff and say, you know what? We need somebody in a bullpen, we need that seventh, eighth inning kind of guy. Maybe they'll take a chance on them, and maybe this a new scenery will be good for them. So moving him and getting a little bit of prospects back, it would be a win-win. Win for the player and a win for the team. And some of the other names, Hemenez, Springer, Lucas, would not want to move him. But yeah, they can all be moved for good trades. Now, I think Ross Atkins will be very conservative. Will he make some trades? Yeah, sure. But for arms in the bullpen, maybe for some prospects to refill the organization to get that farm base built up again. Will he get a big name? No, I really don't think so. But I have a question for you all. Can the Jays be a contender? Can they be in the talks for those big names I mentioned earlier? I personally don't know. I'm not a hundred percent, but do I want them to be? Heck yeah. Now, if you say, Sue, you're Ross Atkins, what would you do? Well, if I was Ross Atkins, and I'm not gonna get into what would cost a team like moving prospects or keeping part of the salaries and all that, but just if I can go out and get somebody, if I can make a trade, what would I do? Well, I think I would go for Michael Waka for the pitching. And I think I would go for Luis Areas. Because we need another reliable pitcher, starting pitcher, right? We need that person to go five innings. Who's overall healthy? Who's gonna go beyond five, six innings? So to me, that's Michael Aka. And with Luis Areas, he gives you that pop in the middle infield, right? He plays second base, you can move Clement to short. Now I wonder, would Kansas City Royals ever think of trading Bobby Witt Jr.? Because I'll tell you right now, that's a player I would go for. So let's see what the front office does at the trade deadline. Man, if the Jays players can start hitting, like we saw in the past, and our starting pitching goes longer into games, be a little bit more consistent, stop walking people, and if everybody can stay healthy and get some of these players back, I still think we can do a big push in August. And if Barger, Santander, and even I'll throw in Garcia, if Dole Three could come back now, to me, that's like the trade deadline right there. Because we haven't had them all year. We haven't even had Santander and Garcia last year. So just adding though three names, and if they were playing at their potential, at our expectations, that'd be a great addition to the Blue Jays. Okay, so changing gears a little bit. We can't talk about trade deadline without mentioning prospects because they will be part of the trades. I'm not gonna lie to you, I don't know a lot about the Jays farm system, but I did a little bit of research, and I'm gonna throw out some names that you guys might potentially hear in trades and in trade rumors. So let's start with Johnny King, left-hander, he's the pitcher. He's 19-year-old, he's been very dominant at the high A level, and insiders view him as Trono's top trade chip for teams that are looking to deal. Alright, so we have Namala, ranked as a top 100 global prospect. This young shortstop has excelled since being promoted to double A. He is heavily floated in high-end packages. Then we have Jojo Parker, a highly impressive 19-year-old infielder, who represented the club at the MLB futures game and he had a great game. Now, while the front office loves his bat, his surging value makes him premier target for other teams. So it's definitely a name that we're gonna hear in the trade rumors. There's Ricky Tiedeman, we've all heard of him, lefty, starting pitcher. His name was out there just like you Savage was. But unfortunately, this guy's had some injuries, right? Um They say that when he's healthy, he possesses like some of the best pure strikeout stuff. Uh, best in our system when he's healthy. Other teams, would they want to take a chance? Probably. And a couple more names that you might hear in the trade rumors, uh, part of package deals for trades. There's Jake Bloss. He throws right pitcher, top 100 for the prospects, and then there's Jay Cook, who's an outfielder, known for his speed, has a high volume of stolen bases, a really nice piece for a team that's looking to rebuild. To me, I wouldn't trade Jojo Parker, or even Titaman for that matter. Parker plays a position that we might need and need in a couple of years. Shortstop. He has lots of power. He plays hard. They say he's a ball player. He just wants to be there, be that guy. And then with Titaman, yeah, the injuries kind of scare me, but his potential was just like you Savage. Uh, and I was really looking forward to him coming up in the organization to the big club and make a difference. I probably wouldn't want to trade these two. So, for all the fans out there that follow the miners and the farm teams, I want to hear from you guys. I want to hear your top prospects that we should be noticing and talking about. Who should we trade, not trade? So before I end this episode with another Sue's true moment, I'm going to mention a couple of my takes going to this season trade deadline, things that we've talked about. So the big name out there, right? It's gotta be Scoobo from Detroit Tigers. I do believe he will get move, and I'm going to say that the Tampa Bay Rays are gonna go big and get him. The Dodgers will not win this bidding war. And also, Rays will make a couple of smaller moves to win the division and go far into the playoffs. So that's one of my takes. I think the Jays will be buyers. Probably see Robbie Ray reunite with the team. And I guess I won't be surprised if they move Jimenez and Varsho. And if they are really buyers, then I could see them trying to make a move and trade for somebody like Willie Adamas or even Luis Areas. That would be great. Get that power bat. And I think Atlanta Braves, and yes, the Miami Marlins will do some great moves and surprise many. And with the Giants and the Mets and the Red Sox, maybe KC, they'll be getting rid of many of their players to rebuild and to shed some salary. So those are my takes. I want to know who do you have as the big winners and who's gonna totally flop at this trade deadline? I want to hear your thoughts. Let me know. So, as promised, like always, at the end of the episode, I'm gonna leave you all with a Sue's true moment. When I think about the MLB trade deadline, I always go back to 2015. The Blue Jays were sitting at 50 and 51. And like most fans, I thought they were going to add starting pitchers, since that's what the front office said they were going to go after. Then out of nowhere, they traded for Troy Chulowinski. And I remember thinking, what? What just happened? A few days later, they landed David Price, another big what the moment, right? I remember like it was yesterday. I was actually visiting Niagara Falls, sitting in my hotel room, watching SportsNet, and then breaking news, David Price. And suddenly everything changed. For the first time in years, I felt like the Blue Jays truly believed they could win. Every game suddenly mattered. Every night felt exciting. Toronto came alive, fans across Canada came together, and then the Jays played games that meant something in August, September, and the playoffs. That's what I remember the most.
